I have an old MSL 400 under my care and it has the following symptom:
The instrument seems to handle all normal computer functions - RJ, PJ, EM,
FT, PK etc., but it will hang itself up after aquiring a random number of
scans. After the computer locks up, ACQ IN PROGRESS remains in the upper
right hand corner of the screen, but the NS indicator does not change (it
continues to indicate the number of scans that were acquired before dying). I
cannot escape using the BS key, but "ctrl K" will get me out. I did swap the
ADC board with the East Coast, but the problem still exists. Any suggestions?
