TO NMR USERS=I NEED INFORMATION ON HIGH TEMPERATURE EFFECTS ON
THE LIFESPAN OF A BRUCKER PROBE
Since we are asked to run nmr spectra of polymers in solution at 120 C, y would
appreciate very much if you can tell me about your experience on the title
subjet ( Ours is a Brucker AM500 with a BB5 probe )
Although Brucker told us that the probe withstands 120 C some users affirm
that the high temperature shortens the lifespan of the probe.
For us to know if there is such an effect , it is very important , since we
have only one BB5 probe for all the nuclei involved in our research work and
services ; and we have no possibility in the inmediate future of buying another
probe.
