Dear all,

two more contributions to voltage stabilization.

From: Lawrence Byrnes <numare@cnj.digex.net>

Dear Stefano,

Can't help with the voltage stabilizer. Just wish to share an experience
that we had when Bruker engineers set up our AC-200 NMR system.

We had the shim power supply and related boards, along with several Aspect
3000 computer boards, fail time and again until we discovered that the Bruker
engineers plugged our system, set to 208 VAC, into an outlet that was
supplying 240 VAC.

We purchased a GE autotransformer that changed 240 VAC into 220 VAC and reset
the appropriate system components to 220 VAC. The system has been operating
without major problems ever since.

Best regards,

Lawrence

What about the temperature of your lab? Do you keep it below 70 F? In our
lab, everytime the room temp. goes above 75 F, something usually fails in
our MSL-300: computer, rf amp., power supply.
