Oscilloscopes, attenuator

Dear Colleagues,
We're looking around for a suitable scope for our 100MHz system. We checked
the discussion in the AMMRL archives which seemed to favor analog scopes as
do some of the local NMR people. HP and Tektronix tell me that analog
scopes are obsolete and that digital scopes with sampling rates of the order
of 1 or 2 GHz are available. I would be very interested to hear whether
folks find digital scopes satisfactory for trouble shooting around a
spectrometer especially on the rf side. Also, does anyone know a good
supplier of rf attenuators of 30db with a 1kW peak rating (I guess probably
20W continuous)?
Thanks,
Lachlan Graham
