Gradients

Dear Colleagues,
I'm trying to get the gradients working on our old MSL 100 system so we can
do some imaging. The software on the system is TOMIKON 910528.T01.
Basically I want to know if I am doing something silly. The RF on our
system is working ok.
I wrote a small pulse program to just turn a gradient on and then off again.
I then defined a gradient file using the DEFG command and set a fixed value
for the gradient (I'm also monitoring the TTL output of the PC slave so that
I can check what's going on). A file was defined for each gradient axis.
GX, GY and GZ were then set to mode 'p' (programmed gradient) and the
appropriate file names entered.
The command LG was run inside an automation. This is supposed to load the
gradient in to the process controller memory.
The pulse program was loaded and then run with nil result i.e. no output
from PC slave.
Am I missing something completely obvious? I would be very grateful if
someone out there could let us know what we're doing wrong.
Thanks,
Lachlan Graham
