ROESY/TROESY and TOCSY problems

I have been working with a small molecule complex (MW about 400)
on an AMX-400 running a ROESY pulse sequence and have had some
success picking up the NOE interaction. I have also calculated the
desired internuclear distances. However, I am having some problem
with TOCSY breakthrough which litters the spectrum a little. I have
switched to a TROESY pulse sequence to rid myself of this problem,
but it still occurs. How can I rid myself of this annoying little
problem? I know it is possible because I have seen clean spectra in
the lit.

My second question is may I use the TROESY to calculate the
internuclear distances in the same manner as the ROESY?
