Has anyone actually installed the SGI patches for Y2K that they recommend
for IRIX 6.3? I would like to know if XWINNMR 2.1, XWINPLOT, and XEDPLOT
etc. work o.k for a DMX system with solids autosampler after the patches are
installed? I have not done any OS patches before and would hate to 'zap'
two working DMX systems with the patches. I know IRIX 6.5 is Y2K
compatible, but am reluctant to upgrade because then I'd have to go to
XWINNMR 2.5 and that currently could cause some problems for me. Also I
don't know if XEDPLOT works under IRIX 6.5. I know XWINNMR 2.1 does not.
