spectral quality with wide sweep widths

My instrument is a DRX-400.

Last night I ran a 13C spectrum on an unusual organometallic
which was expected to give a signal down near 300ppm. I usually
run 13C with AQ_mod = DQD and I get nice clean spectra. For
this spectrum, I used a sweep width of 320ppm or 32000 Hz so
I was forced to use AQ_mod = qsim. The sample was dilute and
the spectrum showed a number of noise glitches that were on
the same order of intensity as the real signals. Most of them
could be distinguished by their phases, but here is my question:

What is the optimum combination of AQ_mod, DIGMOD, etc. for
obtaining clean spectra with large sweep widths?

Thanks in advance.
