X32/3 graphics problem

Bruker users,

I have an X32/3 in our AMX500 that has a graphics problem. In
2D mode, there are random flickering pixels all over the screen.
1D mode is fine. I has got to the point where even setting up a
2D experiment is difficult. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
The biggest problem is isolating it to which one of the three graphics
boards
(Graphics Processor, GT-lock board or TDC) is the likely culprit. All other
functions of the computer seem fine.
Once I know for sure, then ordering a replacement is easier.

Also, has anyone had any luck replacing the AMX monitor (remember this is an
X32, NOT a SGI or Aspect) with a generic MultiSync PC monitor. The
system uses a somewhat unusual screen resolution but the scan rates
(approx. 31.9 kHz/57 Hz) seem very close to VGA.

Cheers,
-Kirk
