Hello,

We are planning a new building for new high field spectrometers
(800 MHz and a 600(+) spectrometer). I have two questions.

1. VT using compressed air or N2
For our 600 and 400 MHz spectrometer we are using compressed house air
cleaned and dried by additional filters. We have no problems using this
system.
In their planning guide Bruker recommend the use of N2 gas for temperature
control. I would like to hear your comments about the two gases for temp.
control especially on high field NMR systems.

2. liquid N2 tank
The new building will be located in a quiet zone of the campus for
hopefully avoiding as many disturbance as possible. But therefore the
ways to the liquid N2 tanks of the other buildings are too long.
We therefore plan to install a additional tank near the spectrometer
building. Has anyone informations about a useful size and optimal
location of a l.N2 tank (e.g avoiding disturbance of the NMR systems
during filling the tank).

Any response is gratefully acknowlegded.

Kristian
