Aspect-2000, Plotting and the Punch Port

On the subject of HP/GL plotting from an Aspect-2000: does anyone have a recipe for using the PUNCH port on the A-2000? My understanding is that this is a "parallel" port that could be hooked up in a fashion to a parallel/centronics device ? Anyone done this?
