In our instrument room we have an HP Laserjet III hooked up
to a switch box using XON/XOFF to which is connected several
PCs. When we unplug the switchbox output from the printer and
replace it with a serial line from the Aspect-X32, we can
plot spectra successful. However, it doesn't work
plugged in through the switchbox. So, either the PCs can
use the printer, or the Aspect can use the printer, but
not both at the same time.
My question is, is there any way for us to configure the
serial port to use XON/XOFF so that we can connect the
Aspect to the laserprinter through the switchbox?
