Spinner problem

I am wondering if anyone has dealt with the same problem that is
confronting me at the moment. I have a teflon spinner that is not holding
5mm tubes very well at all ... in fact it is necessary to stuff a small
piece of tissue in between the wall of the tube and the spinner to hold
the tube tightly enough. I am wondering if the small o-ring inside the
spinner can be replaced and if there are any do's and don'ts that go along
with the replacement procedure.
A new spinner is a rather pricey item and it would be really useful just
to replace the o-ring.

PS. A very belated thankyou to all of those who replied to my plea for help
with the inversion recovery experiment last fall. There were many helpful
replies and after some investigation the problem was solved by decreasing the
receiver gain.
