In the "other" submenu of the "data" menu there is a command called
"tojdx" which will write the current dataset into a file in JCAMP-DX
format. This is an ASCII file which can be read by other programs
which understand JCAMP-DX. When the command is issued it displays
a dialog box which requests some information. Here you can select
either fid or spectrum for encription and the compression mode.
The default compression mode is "DIFF/DUP" since it produces the
smallest files but they are not easily human-readable. If you
select "FIX" it will produce a file which contains the parameters
followed by a table containing the X and Y coordinates for the data.
The first column is the X-coordinate for the first intensity (second
column) on the line. The remaining columns contain subsequent intensities
without the corresponding X-value.
