I am organizing an effort to start NMR & Macromolecular Structure
News group. As you are already aware, the leading structure discussion
lists - BIOSCI_Xtallography and Comp. Chem. List - seldom bring up NMR
related questions. Many details on the technical aspects of NMR
structure determination aren't discussed clearly in the literature and a
newsgroup would allow the exchange of such information. In
addition a forum for discussing some of the fundamental problems of NMR
structure determination, which at the moment are inadequately (in my
view!) addressed, is long overdue.
So, if you support this initiative, plese send me email to that effect.
Your letters of support will aid in accelerating the establishment of
such a newsgroup.
Please feel free to distribute this letter to your colleagues involved
in structure determination by NMR and request them to share their
support (in the form of email to me!).
