The person who is appointed will work on a project in which the exchange of
redox metabolites between different populations of cells is measured using
primarily high field NMR procedures. Preference will be given to applicants who
are conversant with Bruker NMR spectrometers and have experience in designing rf
pulse sequences and conducting spectral analysis. Expertise or a strong desire
to learn procedures associated with preparation of cells for NMR studies will be
essential. Likewise, skills will be required in modern computing procedures
including network transfer of data, computer graphics and relevant statistical
analysis. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent. The position is available
for up to 3 years and is supported by the Australian National Health and Medical
