It was designed for receiving files from ASPECT 1000/2000/3000 computers.
SpecNet-PC emulates to some extent a Bruker's "SPECNET" program as
if PC were another ASPECT running SPECNET. The program captures any file
that is received on serial port and stores it to disk.
SpecNet-PC works in background without loss of transfer speed.It is possible
to run multiple instances of the program for collecting data from several
ports simultaneously.
The main reason to create SpecNet-PC was to eliminate the necessity to
leave the main acquisition program every time to perform file transfer,
especially when ASPECT 2000 has too little memory to run ASPECT-KERMIT
simultaneously (in such a case SpecNet-PC may be considered as an excellent
solution for transfer via RS232).
