You can always configure a datastation as an Avance spectrometer. You just
have to ignore all error messages about missing hardware.

Depending on the network configuration (which belongs to unix, not uxnmr) it
can happen that after entering the basic frequency 'cf' hangs; the last
message in the status line being from the 'iiconf' process. In this case type
kill
in the command line, which lists all running uxnmr processes, and klick on
the 'iiconf' process to kill it.
