I have a postdoc position available for the period April 1996 to September
1996, inclusive. The project involves the application of multiple
quantum experiments to studying liquid crystalline samples. Our aim is to
develop a working combination of experiments, spectral analysis and data
interpretation so that useful information can be extracted from the complex
spectra given by liquid crsystalline samples. The 6 month PD position will
be suitable for someone with NMR expertise, who would enjoy learning about
a fascinating area of science. You can find a fairly detailed description
of my research background and interests on the home page of the University
of Southampton. This has been constructed by my postgrad, Mike Furby,
and actually appears as part of his personal page. To access it use:
This gets you to the Universty. At the end of the main menu choose
"personal pages..."
Then choose
"Mike Furby"
and then
"Chemical Physics"
and you will find an entry under my name.
Anyone interested in the PD position should write or e-mail me
(jwe@soton.ac.uk). Note that the fixed dates for the position have to be
adhered to, since the grant runs out at the end of September.
