Gentlemen:
We have been very busy lately with our AM-500,running NMR spectra
of several unusual nuclei,but lately we began working in 2-D using COSY and we
met with a curious difficulty: Everything works O.K. until we reach the PLOT
STAGE: Either on the screen or with the plotter,after the command CPL the
frame and the grid show up,then ONE CONTOUR ONLY is plotted and then...nothing!
The system seems paralized. When on the screen,it just goes to the previous
"stand by" image. Whith the plotter,it stops for a minute or so and at last
goes to "zero" position.
Is it a hardware problem ?
Is it a software problem ? (the "logic" of the "scanning" of the SMX seems
to "read" only one level,that of the biggest peak one,and the stops !).
Is it an operator's mistake ?
I hope the last one is the only problem. And,incidentally: We appreciate
the nice "user's manual",but it deals only with 1-D ! We are all missing
a similar manual for 2-D !
