Postscript to Winword?

Here is another question of how to convert graphic standards for our
computer friends out there:

Using XWIN NMR (INDY hardware) and the gradshim command one
can create nice pictures
of the field map and print it to file. If one has a look at this
file, one finds the description "!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0" in the
first line.
Trying to load this into MS Word failed (of coarse) and if I may add,
do not try to send this file using the lp command to a hp-laser
printer. This causes desaster.
Several attempts to convert this file with ghostview or other utility
programs failed. Earlier I had found, that XWINPLOT is able to
convert postscript into something readable for MS Word, however,
XWINPLOT is unable to load this fieldmap file yielding the message,
that this would be no nmr data. SO WHAT?
