Interaction of Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein A2 with RNA
We have indentified a protein, hnRNP A2, that binds sequence-specifically
to a small segment of the 3'-untranslated region that is known to be needed
for directed cytoplasmic transport of an mRNA molecule. We wish to explore
the molecular basis of this interaction. This project will involve
isotopic labelling of both protein and RNA for multidimensional NMR
experiments.
The project is funded by the Australian Research Council until the end of 2000.
For this position we are seeking a recent PhD graduate with experience in
protein or RNA/DNA NMR spectroscopy. Experience with multinuclear,
multidimensional NMR would be an advantage. For further information please
