I want to thank everyone who replied to my query about 2H decoupling.
Apparently it is most common to use a lock switching device available from
Bruker. Bruker has a web page discussing this:
http://www.bruker.com/nmr/app/experiments/2h_dec.htm.
Since I am not so fortunate to have the lock switch, I will probably give
the directional coupler a try (but I will be careful....).
