Problems on ASPECT3000

Hello Friends,

We have a Bruker MSL-300 instrument and we run it with an
ASPECT3000 computer and a Hitachi 160 MB Hard disk. It has been
working wonderfully well for the last ten years now. Now,
sudenly, while acquiring routine data, the acquisition had
stopped and there is an erro message

DISK ERROR D5 300

It does not respond any more. We use Hitachi 160 MB as D5 drive because
there is also a SCSI drive which is D1. We could boot either from
D1 (SCSI) or D5 (Hitachi). Usually we boot it from D5 and use the
DISMSL on it.

Any tips on the possible cause of this problem will be of great help.
