Thanks again for all the responses for the Xedplot manual. I stand
corrected since I said there wasn't one. Tom Pratum sent me a copy of the
Xspec manual that Bruker published in 1993 (part #Z30750). This is exactly
what should do the trick! Bruker also sent me a couple of other documents
that might be of use.
I would also like help please: My SGI O2 crashed when I was working with
Xedplot on it with our DRX400 NMR instrument. I had to step a way and upon
returning a few hours later to run a sample, the lock was inoperative (an
error message indicating so when I activated the lock window with the
LOCKDISP command). I tried again to activate the lock window with no luck,
so I checked all the hardware in the back. The computer hadn't been moved
and it's strategically placed to avoid any accidental interaction with the
cabling. Everything seemed fine and tight (read- nothing moved) when all of
a sudden I heard a soft sound of a computer shutdown and sure enough the
SGI O2 died (nothing on the moniyor). I turned off all power and inspected
all the components and nothing appears to be fried or worn. I am absolutely
at a loss as to what happened.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon and/or know what to do?
Thanks for any help in advance,
Paul
P.S. I apologize for the second posting (I didn't see its original posting
to the group (BUM) attempted 3/5). This is the first posting to AMMRL.
P.P.S. As an update, Bruker thinks it might be a bad motherboard. Another
person suggested a dead monitor. Since there are no other SGIs on campus, I
can't swap and check components. Anyone have any ideas as to the situation?
Any and all suggestions are welcome!
