Some of you must be UNIX experts to see what is wrong with our unix editor.
We have two SGI/O2 computers with operating system IRIX 6.3. Recently
"vi" editor on both computer quit working. I don't know if this happened
all together or not. I also don't recall having changed any system setup
parameters. After "vi" command, the error message on screen says
"stack=0x7fff2ef0, targ-addr=0x7fff3070 Bus error". Now we can only use
"jot" commmand to edit files but "jot" won't allow us to edit files on a
remote computer. Could any of you tell by looking at this message what
could possibly cause our problem?
