I have just connected my second HP LJ1100 to my AMX400/X32 system via a
serial/parallel converter, and it works. The large green "go" button/LED
flashes slowly occassionally during data transfer, which probably shouldn't
happen, but the output is OK. I am using the same cable and datalinker
settings as with a HP LJ6L, and a standard mini centronics to old style
centronics cable to connect to the printer. The printer driver is the
Uxnmr hplj5l one.

I have found the 1100s to be not so happy to be connected and disconnected
as the older HP printers. The datalinker had to be reset before printing
would work. I have found I have to reboot my Acorn computer before printing
will work on that with an 1100, whereas the 6Ls can be connected and
disconnected at will without problems.

Regards,

Phil.
