I have an Avance DMX ( Xwinnmr 2.1 (patch level 7) running on an SGI INDY).
Switching to the acquisition window (acqu command) occasionally causes the
graphic server to crash (Bug #1267) when acquiring data. The following
errors appear after restarting the graphics display:
1) in a message window "illegal socio offset=0 region=1 size=0xffffffff"
2) In the error message box "bufread (8, ox700010, 0x1000):read failed (bad
address)"
"bufread (8, 0x1480d000, 0xffffffff):read failed
(bad address)"
and in the Unix console window, messages such as "WARNING:second try at anon
pfind failed, vaddr 0x700010" and "WARNING: Process{XCPU} pid 26014 killed
due to bad page read (errno 2).
I have had some Bruker field engineers tell me the graphic server crash is
normal and others tell me that it is not. It wasn't much of a problem when
I was the only user. However, I am now trying to get ICON NMR running so
that some chemists can run some routine stuff and it has become necessary to
find a solution. Anybody else have this problem and find a solution (other
than not switching to the acqu window when acquiring data)?
