We just recently upgraded our workstation to the XWinNMR/SGI O2 setup
and have the old hamiltonian sitting beside it looking pretty pityful.
It's set up so that people can access their data and work it up while
others are running the spectrometer. Quickly forgetting that they once
used this system for all their NMR needs, students and faculty are
complaining that the hamiltonian isn't fast enough or powerful enough
and want me to do something about it. Does anyone know if I can upgrade
the processor and memory in the system. I'm sure the memory isn't a
problem, just finding some that's compatible. Also, if possible, I'd
like to upgrade the operating system to the latest that was developed.
Any help/info would be appreciated.
