Postdoc in NMR Microscopy

A position is available immediately at the
Department of Chemistry, Swedish University of
Agricultural Sciences (SLU), for implementation
and development of NMR microscopy techniques.
The main research involves studies of
biopolymers, microorganisms and plant metabolism
as well as of polymers and formulations of
pharmaceutical interest. Collaborations with
Pharmacia and Amersham Pharmacia Biotech are
ongoing. Possibilities are given to initiate own
research and new collaborations. The
instrumentation consists of two Bruker DRX600
and DRX400 spectrometers, both instruments
equipped for micro-imaging and high-resolution
NMR spectroscopy. The 600 MHz instrument is also
equipped with a HR-MAS gradient probe. Applicants
should have a strong background in NMR imaging,
preferably microscopy/micro-imaging, ability to
work independently and play an active role in
collaborations.
