Lots of venders provids drives, but you should avoid
Quantum dirves although the name is attractive for Quantum chemists.
To our experience, Quantum drive is cheap but frequently goes to heaven
and we get hell instead (2/50 drives within 1-m).
Note this rate is not under magnetic field condition.

We prefer IBM (or Seagate) dirives pre-formatted for SGI filesystem.
You'd better to choice Ultra Fast/Wide SCSI(H-den 68) drive with
high quality shortest cabling to gain good performance.
