lock problem

BUMers,
we have a problem with the BSMS unit on our DPX300 spectrometer
(XWinNMR 2.5, IRIX6.5):

when attempting to lock using the "lock" command the lock signal
moves to the BOTTOM of the lock window and no lock is obtained.
Also manual locking is not possible. The only solution is to reset the
BSMS unit by selecting "init" in the BSMS tools. After this locking
works fine for two or three samples before the same problem occurs
again.
This also happens with our standard sample using good shims, and the
field value in the lock table also seems to be ok (setting the FIELD
value to the number in the lock table gets the lock signal centered on
the screen).
Any ideas would be greatly apprechiated, I will post a summary/
solution to the list.

Thanks a lot

Holger
