Dear Dr. Pan:

Please check my representative publication in 1997:

http://www.chem.lsu.edu/web/facilities/FrankZhou/frank.html

It is not very difficult to make the insert yourself if you have a glass blow
shop. Actually my former supervisor and Marcel D. Mongeon are dealing with
Wilmad about the insert. Marcel is the Executive Director and Legal Counsel at
Office of Research Contracts and Intellectual Property of McMaster University.

Attached is an email from my former supervisor to Marcel.

Dear Marcel,

It has been brought to my attention that Wilmad is now offering for
sale NMR inserts that are very similar, although not identical, to the ones
that we designed. Several years ago through your office and the Development
office in Toronto, a contract was proposed to Wilmad to licence this
technology. They showed interest and where about to sign the contract when
they pulled out. They are now selling almost the same product without our
envolvement. I thought that you should be aware of this situation. I append
a copy of a picture of their product.

Regards,
Richard

Dear Friends:
We have a reserch project which will study air sensitive solid
samples. The best way is to seal the sample into a glass tube then
put it into a MAS rotor. We have a Chemagnetics 5 mm MAS
probe. The Wilmad sells such glass inserts at $37.95 each. We
estimate that we will need a lot of such glass inserts, which will
eats our research fund very quickly. Do you know any other
vendors who provide such glass inserts?
Thank you for your help.
