QE Error message

We have an intermittent problem with one of our QE-300's. The system is
crashing and giving "error 12544". We have change the general utility
board and the error still occurs. There seems to be no common factor
causing this crash. Is there a secret location in the manuals where the
key to these error codes are hidden?
