Printer memory

We are using a laserjet 2100M with our windows based xwinnmr system. It
takes about one minute to send the 1.1 meg graphic file to the printer.
I have been told that my printer might be able to handle the spectra
files faster if it had more than the base memory in the printer.

Can anybody tell me a) how long should it take to print a spectrum from
xwinnmr and b) would increasing the printer memory from 8 to 40 megs
speed thing up or not?
