lock display problem (Xwin 3.5 linux)

I installed Xwinnmr 3.5 on a system that was running Xwin 3.1. After
doing so, the lock display trace (white) can only be seen in one
direction. When it goes back the other direction it is black. With 3.1
it was white in both directions and I noticed one of the fixes in 3.5
was that it was supposed to be white and red.

I have RedHat 7.1, Matrox G450 Video card running in 8 bit color.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

PS. For anyone who doesn't know, you can print directly to PDF or JPEG
format in Xwin 3.5 and it works geat!
