Associate Scientist / Research Scientist

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will carry out structure elucidations of small
molecule drug candidates, and support the NMR Facility for the Medicinal and
Process Chemists. This involves advising chemists on NMR methods and
spectral interpretation, operation and maintenance of Bruker and Varian NMR
spectrometers, and implementation of new methods. A 500 MHz system will be
added in the near future.

Requirements:
We are seeking a self-motivated team player with an analytical problem
solving approach. The customer focus of this position requires very strong
written and verbal communication skills. The candidate will either have a
recent PhD in solution state NMR spectroscopy and hands-on small molecule
NMR experience, or an MS in chemistry or analytical chemistry plus 8-10
years hands-on small molecule NMR experience. An in-depth knowledge of
modern small molecule structure elucidation methods is essential.

Location:
The position is offered at Amgen's Cambridge Research Center in Cambridge,
MA. This is a small but energetic and rapidly expanding site in the heart
of Cambridge.
