Salary Level 7/8: A$59K - A$74K per year (plus up to 17% employer
superannuation plus leave loading).

Applications are invited for the role of Scientific Officer in the
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility, Analytical Centre. This will
entail supervision of high field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
spectroscopy, the development and application of pulse programs for
data acquisition, and facilitating collaborative research efforts
within the University and with external groups. The Facility is well
equipped with 5 medium to high field NMR spectrometers and 1 EPR
spectrometer. Applicants should have a PhD in Chemistry or an
equivalent field and extensive experience of working in advanced NMR
spectroscopy. They must demonstrate excellent written and oral
communication skills and have a proven record of research in the area.
The demonstrated capacity to build and participate in successful work

safe work practices are also essential.

This is a full time, continuing appointment.

Applications are invited for a role as a Technical Officer in the
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility, Analytical Centre. This will
entail operation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers to
support of users of the Facility with data acquisition and analysis,
data management, and maintenance. The Facility is well equipped with 5
medium to high field NMR spectrometers and 1 EPR spectrometer.
Applicants must have an honours degree in chemistry or an equivalent
discipline and experience of working with NMR spectrometers and
reporting on and interpreting data. They must be able to demonstrate
some experience of using basic computer software, excellent written and
oral communication skills and the ability to work independently on
technical problems. Experience of working in a successful team is also
essential.

This is a full time, continuing appointment.
