CCB is hiring TA’s for Level I Courses 2022-2023
The first year chemistry program is currently accepting applications for undergraduate teaching assistants for the 2022-20223 academic year (CHEM 1A03/1E03 and CHEM 1AA3). Applicants should have completed a minimum of 5 chemistry or chemical biology courses that include a laboratory component (virtual or in-person are both accepted). Responsibilities include supervision of in-person labs, invigilation of in-person midterm tests, and grading of pre- and post-lab work submitted by students to the Avenue platform. The weekly time commitment is ~ 4- 8 hours/week depending on the contract. Please complete the application and submit your cover letter and resume/CV here. Lecture/Laboratory/Tutorial Locations, Times and Days (if available):
– Potential teaching assistants must be available for at least one laboratory slot, occurring Monday to Friday 8:30 – 11:20, 11:30 to 14:20, 14:30 to 17:20, or 17:30 – 20:20 pm. Labs take place in ABB.
Skills, Qualifications, Abilities and Experience – Required & Preferred:
– Only students not having completed an undergraduate degree will be considered.
– Students must have at minimum completed 5 chemistry or chemical biology courses (15 units), with 4 courses (12 units) having a laboratory component.
– Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in a Chemistry or Chemical Biology program, as well as upper-year students.
