Tessella Biosciences Inc., a startup co-founded by Prof. Jose Moran-Mirabal, Prof. Jeremy Hirota, and Chemistry Ph.D. student David Gonzalez Martinez, has been selected for a highly competitive BioCreate investment by Ontario Genomics, and awarded $150,000 in non-dilutive funding.
This investment will support the advancement of Tessella’s bioinks for clinical applications, highlighting the successful translation of academic research into impactful healthcare innovation. These bioinks have the potential to enable a range of future clinical uses, including wound-care solutions such as dissolvable bandages.
