We are just found out ourselves, that in the 1.4.4. version
of XWINPLOT some bug ate three "-" signs in one of the files.

To fix this problem one has to modifiy
the following lines in the file

/u/prog/app-defaults/UtilPrinterSetup

the original file looks like this

PCX (monochrome),pcxmono,r300,1,\
PCX (8 bit gray scale),pcxgray,r300,1,\
PCX (8 bit color),pcx256,r300,1,\

they should look like

PCX (monochrome),pcxmono,-r300,1,\
PCX (8 bit gray scale),pcxgray,-r300,1,\
PCX (8 bit color),pcx256,-r300,1,\

it is just the - sign in front of the r300
