Shimming on FID

Dear BUM-list,
We have a user who shims perfused in vivo samples on the Na23 FID using gs.
The problem is that the signal on one scan is quite weak. You can pulse
Na23 fast, and what would be ideal is if gs could be tricked into doing 4
or 8 scans, and displaying the integral for the summed fid of several scans.
Is anyone aware of a way we could do this, or are there better ideas for
getting around the problem?
