Description:
The Chemical Products R&D department at Waters Corporation has an immediate
opening for an NMR spectroscopist. The primary responsibility will be the
characterization of new chromatographic materials using a Bruker MSL-300
NMR spectrometer (to be upgraded to an AVANCE console in March 2000). The
successful candidate will be expected to operate and maintain the
spectrometer, and must be experienced in high resolution NMR of solids (
(superscript: 13)C- and (superscript: 29)Si-CPMAS). In addition, the
candidate will be expected to develop and apply new NMR techniques to
improve our ability to characterize chromatographic materials. The
candidate will also be expected to learn how to operate additional
Analytical instruments, including IR, GC, and HPLC.
Education Required:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field
Experience Required:
Must have at least 2 years of experience in high resolution NMR of solids.
Knowledge of other Analytical instruments (e.g. IR, GC, HPLC, MS) is
desirable.
