question on pulse length

Hi,

We use Bruker DPX 360 MHz.

I input a hard pulse to be 210 us at -3.0 dB. Does it mean the pulse rises
to the maximum (-3.0 dB), maintains at the maximum and then decreases to
zero within the 210 us?

Or does it mean the pulse will take extra time to rise before the 210 us
and decrease after the 210 us? If so, how long will it take to rise and then
decrease?

Another question:
If the pulse is 90x-t2, which means I will acquire the data immediately
after the 90 pulse. Will the pulse has residual during t2 so that the signal
is contaminated by the pulse?

What is the effect of phase cycling (x,-x,-x,x,y,-y,-y,y)? I tried for
dioinized water sample, the spectrum from single acquisition and that from
phase cycling are not different.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
Best,
Jing
