Thanks again for the overwhelming responses to my question about read
AMX tape from SGI. Up date my status. I found I can simply read tapes
saved by SGI using
tar tvf /dev/rmt/tps1d5
and read data file (ser) saved by AMX by typing
tar tvf /dev/rmt/tps1d5nrns
I had problem with two tapes (one of which is the one we have been keeping
talking about) both saved by AMX with 'mxtar' and both of them are
parameter files : /u/exp/stan/nmr/par
It looks like there are some patterns here. Any more tricks?
