Tar -M55

A few weeks ago, we had problems with tar using the '-M55' option
on an X32 w a 60 Mb drive. I suspected the tar program - but it turns out that
the program is not the problem. In fact, now there is no problem at all!
While trying to save all files before replacing a disk drive, it reproducibly
failed 3 times. Today it reproducibly works as advertised.
