Just some comments about your answer to Peter Stilbs and Hot Switches.

There were some 1-H HPPR Hot Switches which had diodes that failed
occasionally. Those were replaced with diodes from another supplier
over a year ago. Since then we haven't been experiencing any chronic
failures so that should not be problem anymore.

According to Werner Schittenhelm of Spectrospin who had some E-Mail
communication with Peter Stilbs about his problem, the fault turned
out to be an overshoot in temperature, and not a problem with the preamp.

Problems noted with the connectors of the older slide in preamps are
rare as people are learning not to pull them out by the connectors,
and not to tighten them too tightly with the grounding screw.

If anyone is having any problems with Hot switches, or any chronic
preamp problems, please contact me or "center@bruker.com". We would
like to ensure that all the HPPRs are all functioning reliably in the
field.
