lock-up problem with DPX console

Hello all:
We have a recurring lock-up problem here with our DPX-200 console that
I was wondering if anyone else has seen and knows the cause of. This is
something that I have only noticed since we have allowed the use of this
instrument in undergraduate teaching- I have used the machine myself for
many hours and have never seen the problem so I don't know what causes
it to occur. The symptom is that the RCU and TCU timeout at the beginning
of an acquisition (thus not allowing the acquisition to occur- also can be
noticed when giving the ii command).
Rebooting the CCU has no effect, killing the program (xwinnmr) and clearing
all processes and shared memory segments has no effect; the only thing
which seems to clear it is to cycle the power on the CCU cardcage (with the
keyswitch), and then restart the program.
Anyone else seen this problem?
