Ethernet hardware address

We now have an AMX system in our lab and I would like to be able to
connect the Aspect X32 computer to our building ethernet. In order to do
so I must supply a hardware address for the ethernet board to our network
system administrator. Can I get this information from software or must I
look at the board for the address?
