The Institute for Biodiagnostics, National Research Council of Canada,
is offering several post-doctoral positions in magnetic resonance
research,
available immediately. The field of research involves design and
implementation
of pulse sequences for large bore MR scanners for a variety of different
projects.
Equipment Available
- 1.5T/68cm whole-body scanner with S.M.I.S. console
- 3.0T/100cm whole-body scanner with Bruker BioSpec console
- 3.0T/50cm scanner with S.M.I.S. console
- 7.0T/40cm scanner with Bruker Avance console
- 9.4T/21cm scanner with Bruker BioSpec console
- 11.7T/12cm vertical magnet with gradient insert, modified
S.M.I.S. console and Bruker AM500 console.
- Mechanical and electronic workshops
- Biochemistry labs and surgical suites
- SGI Challenge/L, SGI workstations, IBM-PC's, Mac's
You must have obtained your Ph.D. within the last five years and
experience
in MR imaging and/or spectroscopy research is essential. Salary is
commensurate
with experience and begins at $Can35000/year. Please note that first
consideration
will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
